Be Proactive, Not Reactive

Your decision to take charge of your life is the seed of your success. Another way of saying “taking charge” is “being proactive.” This word – Proactive - is a simple combination of two familiar words: pro meaning “for” and Active, meaning ” doing something.” In other words: Don’t just sit there – do something! We can able to get in to trouble routinely by focusing on items over which we have no control – will this meeting be positive, will my child be safe, will people like me, will I close the sale, or I will be happy? This is a fruit of our life.

What good is it focus here? None – absolutely none. In fact, it is harmful, often resulting in worry, fear, manipulation, and worse. Instead, you need to focus on those items you can control: (the roots) right attitudes, right beliefs, and right commitments. By so doing, you will use your emotional energy in a positive way and actually move forward more quickly. This pro activity  does make a difference. Reactive people focus on the fruit (result). Proactive people focus on the roots (principle).

The choice is yours. Will you see yourself as a victim, who only reacts? Or as a victorious fighter who is in control and driving towards success? Psychologists tell us that stress is a natural reality. Stress is tension that comes into our lives as part of the process of living. We can respond to stress in two ways: as a victim, who acts in distressful (inappropriate) way, or as a victor, who acts in a eustressful (appropriate) way. If we respond appropriately, we can control stress and increase our capability for greater energy and a positive outcome. That’s why you well need to be proactive and not reactive so that all your plans in life well be going to be a successful one.

Good Day Guys!
