How Are You Defining Success?

We all know that whenever we present some seminars on this topic, We ask for definitions of Success. Most of the time we get usual answers: ” money “, ” position”, ” influence “,” climbing the ladder “,” the one who has the most achievements wins.” Usually we can group the definitions into five basic areas: Power, Prosperity, Position, Prestige, and Pleasure. I really think so, that all of this five ” Elements of Success” we need to consider.

What about Power? Is Power the secret to success for the future? If you know Hitler he had a lot of power, but calling him a success would be to condone his actions! Just think guys, on the stories of Wall Street Provides. There are thousands of “Successful” businesspeople with enormous power – along with just broke marriages and failing families. What about Prosperity? Just wanted you to know that Materialism is a major problem today. Yet possessing things and having money aren’t wrong. It is only when we become preoccupied with those things – with seeking truth and fulfillment in our accumulation – that we begin to miss the purpose and meaning of life. What about Position? Some people sat that position of a person that working on that company defines success. If you know Ferdinand and Imelda Marcos had prominent positions in the world. But did they succeed? It all depends on your definition of success. What about Prestige? do you think that when the time you are being known and recognized? It is already called you are success? Many people who have it can tell you that prestige at one moment and a man of notoriety the next. Prestige certainly is no guarantee of success. What about Pleasure? The rule of life is to make business a pleasure, and pleasure our only business,” said Aaron Burr. This aptly conveys the rampant attitude of pleasure seeking in our day and age. Thats why, as of this time it is really not mean that if you can do just a small thing you can able to called Success, we well need to rest assure our self first before we can able to say we are already success… You guys, Are you already success right now?
