Most women would go through a difficult time especially when they reach menopausal periods. This is the most complicated part because several side effects are being felt. But, you can lessen the symptoms if proper ways are applied.

  • Keep fit and exercise regularly.
  • You can do several things to cope with the changes of menopause.
  • Accept that this is a normal part of life and allow yourself some time to adjust and to pamper yourself.
  • Find support from others, especially from your partner. Help them to understand what is happening to you.
  • Do relaxing activities to cut down stress.
  • Use a lubricant to combat any dryness. Your doctor may prescribe progesterone or you can buy it online.
  • Weight-bearing exercises such as walking improve bone health. Pelvic floor exercises can improve incontinence.
  • Maintain your weight. Eat a diet low in fat, sugar and salt but high in calcium and fiber to protect your bones, joints, and heart.
  • Stop smoking and get more sleep
  • Try professional counseling if you are emotionally distressed.
