lappy-upgrageMy future brother-in-law asked if he could upgrade, for the second time around, his laptop. He already bought Windows Vista operating system before we went back home. But, he doesn’t know how to install it. Then, I agree on that matter.

So, I asked him about his laptop memory. I have one when I upgrade my own laptop months ago. I will give it to him for free this time. I don’t intend to sell it because I already treat him like my family now. He is having problems with his slow running computer. An upgrade with some of its components may help it runs faster than the current speed. I am not pretty sure about it, but it would not hurt to try.

For some instances when we enter a waiting room, be it at the doctor, dentist or even hairstylist, we just know that some things will be there no matter what. A water dispenser and a coffee table filled with magazines are only two of these things, and it’s the latter we must protect ourselves against, if we really want to avoid coming down with a cold or worse.

Experts in the health profession advise us to never touch any magazine we see in such waiting rooms, especially during the cold season. It’s useless for us to imagine that someone cleans those magazine pages after page after each working day – and even if they did, they would still be filled with bacteria. Cold viruses can survive for up to 18 hours on paper or other surfaces, so touching them is precisely like buying a ticket for a week off work with the price of our health for the same period of time.

One solution out of this would be to bring our own magazine or book whenever we know we have to wait for more than just a couple of minutes. Then, there is also the surfing the net option, which can be easily done on the mobile. However, if we see something that really gets our interest there, and there’s no other way we can wait until we’re outside to buy the paper, it’s recommended we wash our hands thoroughly afterwards.

I miss the web that much!

i-miss-the-web-that-muchI have been checking the web this morning as I miss it a lot. It’s been a week that I have not used internet since we settled here. There are so many things I need to do and so many assignments that expired. Sadly, I can’t do anything about it.

Well, as I checked the web to visit some friends, I came across Double Glazing Stirling site. The truth is that, this is the first time I heard about it. It’s interesting for me because I really don’t have any idea what it is. I may sound ignorant but that is the truth. So, I read through the pages to learn and to clear up my mind with many questions.

Well, I have learned that double glazing is the glazing process in which a window is formed by two panes of glass with a space between the panes. Of course, there is air trapped between the panes glass and forms a layer of insulation. The unit must be sealed with no moisture inside. The purpose of double glazing is to substantially stop heat loss which will decrease heating costs during cold season.

I guess I’ve learned a lot. It’s best for snowy area not tropical area like mine. But, this information helps me a lot. Who knows I might transfer to cold areas, I don’t have permanent address yet. I can go anywhere I want if I have money.

I love movies that much

i-love-movies-that-muchI love movies so much that wiffy and I can watch up to four movies during Sundays. Well, that is the only free time we have so we make the best of it. We don’t really choose the type of movies to watch as long as it’s interesting, then that’s fine with us. However, there are no new releases on dvd’s or cd’s. We still have to wait for the movie to be released on stores. Not on the web of course since there are lots of new movies on the internet.

I have seen several new releases on ebay and even bid for it. But, I have never won any of it. There are lots of people bidding until I could not reach their bidding price. When somebody competes for the product and it reaches the maximum price I set. Then, I have to let it go. I won’t pay have to so much for a movie that will come out on stores in the future.

However, I have been thinking that this is a good business. People are bidding and competing to get the new released movie. I looked around to see if there are wholesalers that can produce new released movies. And, I stumbled upon Jillian Entertainment CD & DVD Wholesale List and I am a bit interested. As I spoke to my partner, I get a big no.

Well, true we are movie fanatics. And we love to watch lots of it over and over again. But, it doesn’t mean we have the capacity to run that kind of business. That would eat up a lot of our time, which we don’t have. I guess I have to leave the selling to other people and focus on watching and enjoying the movies.

Can screwing lead to lower energy bills? Well, it can if you’re putting light-emitting diode (LED) bulbs into your lamps. Better known as the bulbs behind your laptop screen and Lite-Brite, LEDs are brighter and cheaper than ever and just to arouse your interest even more, there are way more efficient than even compact fluorescents (CFLs).

Here are some benefits you can have. It will increase flow to your wallet. Although LEDs are currently a lot more expensive out of the gate, replacing an incandescent bulb with one can save you more than $700 over its lifetime. Another thing is you can have a planet-gasm, LEDs use less energy than incandescent (about 1/10th) and CFLs (about half), since they produce comparatively little heat – all the energy is used for light. Then this will last longer, LEDs last about 60,000 hours, compared to 10,000 for CFLs, and 1,500 for old-school incandescent (making LEDs especially great for ceilings, since you almost never got to change them). And lastly, mercury free turn-ons, even if the mercury CFLs contain is minimal, LEDs are even better, with none at all. So, think about it now!

internet connection issues

internet-connection-issuesI am not enjoying my stay here in my partner’s supposedly hometown because I don’t have internet connection to do web stuff. I hate going back in forth to my in-laws house. I have unfinished business with an insurance company that I am interested in. I left the other place in the midst of comparing term life insurance quotes. I was cut because there are so many things to do at that time. And I can’t proceed now because I don’t have internet connection.

My application for internet connection has not been processed. The ISP customer service will just say it will take three to ten days before the lineman connects it. That’s seemed to be forever to me.
