Last July, I lend some help to one of my family members. I created two blogs for him with the goal to earn extra money to make both ends meet. I did not charge any service fee. But of course, there are still fees that need to be paid like the domain and hosting. I told him that he can pay whenever he is able.
Time has passed and I think he must have forgotten about it. He is a very busy employee, but is not earning that much even though his work is in line with money. So, I did remind him that I’ll be collecting. Of course, it is done in a friendly manner. I think I am so straightforward that he is a bit pissed off that he still owes me some money.
I also made a mistake for reminding him that his two other blogs will be expiring this December. That means I calculated four hosting plans, which shock the life out of him. My bad, when I checked his domain account the other blogs will expire in January not December.
Another mistake I committed is that I did not show a list of where his money will be going. I just told him the total. I intention is not to confuse him because he is still a beginner that time and I am feeding him so many information. But, I am starting to feel guilty about it today. I need to explain to him thoroughly everything. I could do this tomorrow when we meet up. He just signed out because of the headache I gave him.
