I recently had a complete medical check-up as a requirement to qualify for a nurse trainee position. I actually passed the preliminary exams and now I have to pass the entire medical test for me to get in. I have no problem with that. The only issue I faced is to pass drug test.
Don’t get me wrong, I am really clean. I have never used drugs in my entire life. The only problem I faced is my difficulty in urinating. I am not the type of person that can easily release the liquid in my body any time I want although my last physical exams showed I am a healthy person. And, to pass a drug test I must submit sufficient amount of urine or else they will let me come back for more. The truth is passing the drug test is very important to me this time. But, I am confident I can because I know I am clean.
However, there are people who think it is impossible to pass drug tests due to their own fault. Not passing drug tests can result in loss of employment, emotional distress and embarrassment and possible violation of the law. There are millions of people required to submit to drug testing for pre-employment purposes.
There are drug testing and detox products available on the market. This product gives people the confidence that they will be able to pass any drug test. Good thing I no longer have to use this product because I already have the result of my drug test. Of course, I pass.
Another problem I have is the result of my physical exam. It shows that I am overweight and has blood pressure of 120/90. That is scary. The doctor told me to watch my weight and blood pressure. I never realized I am already 75 kilos and that number is no longer healthy for my height. I must start cutting back my food intake like my partner does.

For my age, I still have no problems in line with losing hair. Although I am a bit curly, or wavy, I am still happy that I am not balding or anything sort of like that. Probably when that day comes, I will really freak out.
However, my partner younger brother who is more than two years younger than I am is bug by his thinning hair. Actually this is his problem ever since. I knew about his problem the first day my partner and I met. He has been using expensive hair treatments and shampoo for a long time. Yet, I find no effect on him. I don’t want to tell him that because it might add to his depression. By the way, his problem is more of genetics. His grandfather is totally bald when he died. But, unluckily he is the only one in the family showing balding sign.
He is easily agitated by his situation especially that he is at the stage where appearance is very important. And his thinning hair lowers his self-esteem to face people particularly girls. I feel a bit worried because he is already spending a lot of money by using several hair loss treatment products. I’m about to suggest hair transplant as his alternative. It is a permanent and reliable solution to thinning hair.
But, I could not tell him directly to undergo hair transplant because that is his life and in some way we are not that close. I might offend him if I do so. But, I think it would be easier if I will tell her sister to relay the message as if the message is coming from her.
Why did I tackle this? Well, I just feel like doing so after learning that Nu/Hart has an office in Manila. Nu/hart is an accredited organization to do hair transplant with experienced, hair transplant physicians who have performed over 30,000 hair restoration procedures with great results. I thought there are no accredited offices here locally. That is why I want to take the chance to tell my future brother-in-law about it.

Many wine makers and tasters know first-hand that enjoying a glass of white wine on a frequent basis can damage the teeth, experts say. Nutrition Research reports that a pale plonk packs an acidic punch that erodes enamel far more than red wine. It is not the wine’s vintage, origin or alcohol that are key but its pH and duration of contact with the teeth.
But study shows that eating cheese at the same time could counter the effects because it is rich in calcium. It is the calcium in teeth that the wine attacks. In the lab, adult teeth soaked in white wine for a day had a loss of both calcium and another mineral called phosphorus to depths of up to 60 micrometers in the enamel surface, which the researchers say is significant.
Even if people brush their teeth after a night of drinking, over the years repeated exposure could take its toll. Indeed, excessive brushing might make matters worse and lead to further loss of enamel. But they said: The tradition of enjoying different cheeses for dessert, or in combination with drinking wine, might have a beneficial effect on preventing dental erosion since cheeses contain calcium in a high concentration. This helps neutralise and boost the remineralising power of saliva to halt the acid attack.
But eating strawberries while supping on your vino or mixing sparkling whites with acid fruit juice to make a bucks fizz may spell trouble because this only adds to the acid attack. But it’s the way you consume it that’s all important. If you’re going to have a glass of wine do so with your meal and leave a break of at least 30 minutes afterwards before you brush your teeth and go to bed. Leaving time before brushing teeth gives the enamel a chance to recover from the acid attack and makes it less susceptible to being brushed away.

Yesterday a small snake was able to find its way inside our house. The little guy bypassed us who are just watching television. I haven’t seen the little cobra cross my way even if I am just sitting the floor. The very first person who saw the little snake is wifey. And she jumps to her surprised as the snake is in the form of attack. It is the first time we encounter a snake at that range. Well, we have no choice, but to kill the little guy or it will keep on visiting our home and may pose a threat to us.
Wifey has a lot of thought going on inside her mind. Her “what ifs” started to pop out. What if, the snake bite her? What if there are lots of snakes around? What if? What if? And, there are so many what if. I started to feel like vomiting from her what if. But, I did not show it or else I am going to ask myself what if. Hehehe!
Well, there goes our day yesterday. I still have to go to the hospital for my medical results. However, sometimes I get lost because of its space. Good thing, there are EXIT SIGNS I can use. And, I end up in the backdoor and return to the main entrance. Hahaha! Unlucky me!
But, I was able to get out of the building with the help of exit signs. And, return to the entrance and start once again. Although that is really inconvenient, I can also benefit from it. That way I can familiarize the exits and entrance of the building by following the first Exit Sign I see. I need to do that because I’ll be working there in the next few weeks. It is scary not to know the hospital structure. Well, that’s all for now I still have to check some other stuff before taking off.

Taking care of our health should be done at an early age. Experts suggest we should start doing regular exercise of at least 30 minutes a day and eating proper diet at the age of 20. This gives us a better chance to stay slim later years in our life.
However, it’s not too late for adult people to start a healthy lifestyle. Any time they may opt to start living healthily by eating the right kinds of food and exercise accordingly. But when problems already emerged, then it takes more than exercise and diet to solve the problem.
As we age, microscopic pieces of heavy metal, such as mercury (from your fillings) or lead, or even iron are left in our body that block arteries and waiting to cause problems like heart disease. These are so small they can easily become embedded inside some tissue in the body. However, this can be mended by oral chelation.
By definition chelation is the use of EDTA to bind molecules, such as metals or minerals, and “chelate”, or remove them from the body. It cleanses the blocked veins and arteries, which then increases blood flow that carries oxygen and nutrients needed to achieve healthy body. By that it allows the body to receive the proper nourishment to recuperate, regenerate and operate normally once again.

Are you ready to buy a used car? Then, make sure you know certain things about cars because there are dealers or even private people who try to sell cars overpriced or even damaged ones. So here are several details that you must consider before buying a used car.
- The Mileage – an older car will have a higher mileage but sometimes you can find cars that were driven for less than 5000 miles a year. An average consumer will drive between 12,000 and 16,000 miles a year. Those cars with a high usage are usually those that won’t make you happy.
- Inspect the Engine – have somebody with you who knows a lot about cars because the engine of a car is the most important thing to look at before buying the vehicle. A good clean looking engine is not always an indicator for a good working engine. The owner might have washed it just to achieve a higher price for the car. Always test drive the car, this way you might find a technical problem. People who know a lot about cars can sometimes tell, just from hearing the engine sound, if the engine is alright or not.
- Check the Body of the Car – look for rusty areas and damages, check the whole body of the car. Look at areas near the bottom these are the places where the rust spreads first.
- Frame Damages – make sure that the car did not have an accident. Some car dealers try to sell a damaged cars, sometimes even with frame damages. These can be very dangerous for the new owner, so check the car carefully.
- The Tires – make sure all 4 tires are in a good condition. Look at the profile and check if the material is in a smooth condition. Make sure there aren’t any damages at the tires, they are your life insurance.
- Safety Features – some old cars don’t meet today’s safety standards. It is up to you what level of safety standard you choose with your used car, just make sure the ones that are included work.
- The Price – before buying a car, you want to compare the prices for the car model that you desire. You can use the internet for this issue. This way you can protect yourself from overpriced car deals. Take your time to research the whole topic, don’t be in a hurry when buying a car. If you take the time to compare different offers you will certainly get a better deal and a better time with your car.

If someone would ask me what is the best diet pills available in the market nowadays, I can’t really answer it. Yes, I know some brands. But, when it comes to their effectiveness, I have no idea. The truth is, there are really brands that work well for some people. But, it may not be the same for other people. I don’t know if it’s okay to say that you have to try it for you to know.
Probably I am saying this because I haven’t tried using pills. I have a good metabolism for now that’s why at my age I still remain slim even though I eat a lot. Hehehe!

There is an upcoming three day home loans seminar this October that will be held in one of the malls here. That news excites almost everyone in wifey’s family. They have been thinking about getting a loan for a long time. But, they do not know where and how to start. And, they are too busy to know it. Years have gone by and they are still renting a house. Now they already have access, thanks to wifey’s brother. They will grab this opportunity to learn about the process and the things they need.
Well, it also excites me and wifey as well. We too are just renting a place and planning to purchase a house. Yet, we can’t afford to pay in cash. Like wifey’s family, we don’t know where and how to start. And we must choose the best that suits our need and our monthly budget. Well, I guess we’ll just have to wait for the seminar date and see if we qualify to get a loan.
For now, I will just wait until the seminar day. That’s it for now; I still have a lot of things to do and a lot of things to think. And one of those things is to download themes for my cell phone. My phone got a new casing that calls for new themes.

Want to make your summer BBQs even more of a hit? Well, you should build a green deck and spike the punch. Sustainable decking with eco-wood staining and sealants, are now available at prices that won’t knock the wind outta you. Why don’t you try the following?
- AFM DuroStain – 8 eco-friendlier, water-based acrylic (instead of the usual oil-based) stain options.
- East Teak – if you got to go teak go with a sustainable option such as this one.
- Trex – reclaimed-wood and recycled-plastic decking and railing that’s more durable and easier to clean than regular wood decking.
- If you’re just refinishing an old deck, use an electric sander instead of paint remover as a greener option.
Here are some benefits of choosing these: Knocking on eco-wood. Choose wood that isn’t harvested faster than it’s regrown. Another thing is you can avoid chemicals that don’t slam the earth. Low-emitting finishes and sealants offer durability and aesthetic appeal without leaving you woozy or polluting the air. And, you can smash with good looks. Even though the Halloween is not yet over, many people are now preparing for the Christmas holidays. Wifey and I belong to those people too. Hahaha! I think last year, we made a lot of unplanned presents. Of course, it costs us a lot. We don’t want that to happen again. That is the reason we are carefully planning what to give to whom.
However, I thought of not giving things. Just send christmas cards with beautiful warm-hearted greetings will do. Doing this will save me a lot of money especially during this time of crisis. I found a number of beautiful cards from recycled christmas cards, photo christmas cards, corporate christmas cards, to charity christmas cards in one site.
The common problem of sending Christmas cards is not being personalized. If I would opt for this kind of greetings, then I would worry about that. In this store I found, I have the option to compose my own wording or place my photos in the cards and see the results right after. It sounds good and very inexpensive.
However, things are different for our family members. The cards are for our friends. Our families, mine and wifey’s, are used to receive something special from us every Christmas time. That too is still costly, at least I will get savings If I prefer to send out greeting cards this time.
