Wifey and I celebrated our monthsary last Nov 6. It’s actually our 55th monthsary together or four years and seven months of our relationship. Some people think that it’s corny, but we like to do it. It reminds us of the days we first knew each other.
Since we ran out of money to spend for a fancy dinner or lunch in a restaurant, wifey just cooked half kilo of prawns and place a simple flower arrangement in the center of our table. And I bought a cola or soft drinks in the store nearby. And we had our lunch.
Of course, it might seem a casual lunch and not a special one. The only thing that makes the lunch extraordinary are the flowers. We don’t usually place flowers in our table. We find it unnecessary to do that regularly. It is acceptable only during special occasions. Afterward, we played a couple of movies in the DVD player and opened some crackers and pop-corns and watched the movies. That’s how simple we celebrate the 55th birthday of our relationship.
