Even before I was younger, I never have problems in terms of getting to some places I want to visit despite the fact that it is my first time. I’ve been to miles and miles away from home and was able to come back complete. Although I am good in route navigating with the help of maps; driving car post to be a problem.
I used to ride taxi to get me to those places. That means the navigator is the taxi driver who knows his field a lot. But, it would be a different story if I do the driving even though I am familiar to the city I live now. What if I want to go somewhere outside the city? I think it would not be possible to continually use the map while driving. It is too hassle pulling over the side of the road just to look at it.
That is where gps or global positioning system becomes handy. It works like a map. The only difference is that it automatically provides a set of coordinates which represent the location of the GPS unit with respect to its latitude, longitude and elevation on planet Earth. It also provides time, which is as accurate as that given by an atomic clock. So, that would be very beneficial for travelers and mobile people.
