Yesterday, we celebrated the 49th birthday of my future mother-in-law. We had a lot of fun in their house. Actually, I am her only visitor aside from her five kids. Still we enjoyed bonding with each other even though I am still shy to communicate to them especially we don’t have a wrap present for her.

As much as I want to give one of those Keurig One Cup Coffee Makers, I haven’t. I fall below my budget this time. And I can’t use my credit card for some reason. But, I won’t have to feel guilty about that. We already advanced our gifts last two days. We shopped her around and bought her few clothes that she likes. The thing is, I still feel of buying her a coffee maker because she is a heavy coffee drinker. She can devour at least three to five cups a day. It is some sort of her favorite pastime.

Even if I haven’t told my partner about it, she knows I feel guilty for not bringing a present for her mom. But, she assured me everything is fine. Well, then I can always make up this Christmas. I am pretty sure we will spend more of our time together. The night ends, and I think everything is really okay. She even wrapped some food for us that is too kind of her.

Gibson was confirming not long ago that his current girlfriend Russian singer Oksana Grigorieva was pregnant, he joked about the media being able from then on to call him OctoDad, after the model of Nadya Suleman, the OctoMom. Now that Oksana has given birth to the couple’s first child but Mel’s eight, many already feel entitled to call him that, according to New York Daily News.

The couple had been an item even before Gibson announced plans to separate from his wife of many years. Shortly after the divorce announcement was made, speculation started circulating that the singer, whom Mel met when he signed her on to his record label, was expecting a child, a claim that was left unaddressed for quite a while, until the above-mentioned OctoDad interview.

Despite the fact that Oksana insists marriage is not in the cards for her and Gibson right now, rumors in the tabloids have it that the only thing that’s stopping them from tying the knot is Grigorieva refusing to sign a prenuptial contract. Admittedly, Gibson has his attorneys draw a very generous prenup, but Oksana will only marry if none is in place – given that Mel already risks losing half of his impressive fortune to soon to be ex wife Robyn, it’s understandable that he doesn’t want to make the same mistake the second time in a row.

Vanity is the name of the game for both my sister and my partner. Actually, my partner is like infected by my sister. Hahaha! She is not that vain before. She can sleep after washing her face with cleanser and she can go out of the house without any make up on.

However, after my sister gave my partner a set of eye cream and moisturizer she is no longer the girl I mentioned earlier. She is now struggling to find the best eye cream and moisturizer and has been reading beauty articles. She is even taking those articles and posts it in her blogs so she can access it any time she wants. And, she is now putting make up even if she is just in the house. I think the girl I met before, has now turned into a full pledge woman that is quite expensive. Sigh!

I think I have said it before, I just can’t find the post I made, that I found at least two 8mm films in my parents belonging in our storage room. I actually planned to have it transfer from 8mm film to DVD in one online shop. But, I actually postponed the idea because I am short in my budget that time. Plus, I still have to consult wifey about my film transfer plans.

I don’t know how to start the conversation with wifey. Why? She might find it a big deal especially we have financial goals of our own. That is why I postpone my film transfer plans months ago. I still have to gather my thoughts and ideas on how to make my words captivating and nice to convince her.

Well, enough about that. I just want to transfer the 8mm to DVD wedding movie of my parents. I have been longing to watch the movie ever since a child, but unable to do so because we don’t have a compatible player. Dust and years might have destroyed the movie that is why it needs to be transferred and restored the soonest.

Good thing I don’t have to bother in film transfer if I want to make our wedding movie. I can make use of digital camcorders and transfer it directly to DVD without the sweat. Hehehe!
