important requirements

important requirementsYesterday, I took another round of neuro and drug exams as a requirement for my on-going training. I am not complaining because there is a little doubts I can’t pass drug test. The thing is, I already passed the exams before I got the training. Plus, it is costly for my part. Every time I take the exams cost me a lot and this time of the year where I would rather keep my money than spend it.

I know how important it is to pass drug tests as this is one of the bases whether or not you get the job. Failing the exam does not only pose losing the opportunity of employment, but may also cause emotional distress and embarrassment. Plus, there is also a risk of getting behind bars of using illegal drugs or going to drug rehabilitation centers.

By the way, I am not against drug testing as this test ensures work safety, security and productivity. Especially for the kind of profession I have, nurse. Nursing people in the hospital is not an easy job; it requires healthy individuals physically, emotionally, and mentally. The absence of either one or two of those can be deadly for our patients.

So, if you are smart enough, then you wouldn’t want to use drugs. Or, if you made mistakes in the past, then it’s advisable to take detoxification. Good thing there are lots of these products available in the market today. For sure, passing drug tests is one ticket to getting the right job that could change your future forever.

Ow well, I just wait for the result. I’m pretty sure I’m clean. For now, I just hope that my next drug test will take place next year. I don’t see the point of taking it many times in a year. Unless otherwise found guilty. But, I am negative in all my previous drug exams. Sigh! I will not whine like this if they give the test for free, but sad to say it’s not.
