some thoughts about my transfer

Since I have plans of moving out, wiffy will have to go back to her parents’ house. But, going back would mean four television channels because her parents doesn’t have any cable subscription. They are just relying on local channels provided by local networks.

From that scenario, I know for sure she can’t live without lots of channels in the television. She is a tv fanatic and can stand to watch television from the moment she wakes up until she goes to sleep. She even watches even if she’s in working mode or just plainly doing the chores. That is the reason I am thinking of having our cable transferred to their house.

But, I have great idea. Since our lock up period is almost over, why not subscribe to other cable company that is tied to other services like phone and internet. That way she will only get one bill in one month from the three services. So, there are no hassles in paying. I know that Time Warner Digital offers these services. I get to know about this when I started blogging. Thanks to my online friends that posted articles about it.

Basically, there are up to 200 channels offered by Time Warner Digital Cable, which means she will never run out of movies, talk shows, sports, and so on. As for the internet, they offer up to 7 Mbps Download Speed and can be upgraded up to 15 Mbps for $10. Also, customers may opt for Time Warner Digital Phone with unlimited calling in U.S., Canada & Puerto Rico.

Well, those are the things I am looking for. Hopefully I will find those services here locally.

on the lookout for hosting provider

Our hosting subscription will expire a few months from now. That is the reason I am thinking deeply whether or not to renew it or to move to another hosting provider. Actually, I am happy with my current provider as I haven’t faced any trouble or down time problems since September last year. But, my blogs are growing. So, even if they say it is unlimited hosting, I would prefer to divide them into two and host them differently. That way I will get different IPs.

Of course, I have several options to choose from. But, I would rather stick to those hosting provider that is already known to the marketplace and received good reviews from its users. However, it is understandable that they do get some bad reviews since no one company can please everybody even if they try to. The important thing is that the positive outweighs the negative.

Well, my friend’s justhost.com recommendation came in late. I was able to purchase a hosting before she replied to my emails. Now I am considering it again since I am about to renew my hosting. The good news about it now is that they have special promotion of $3.45 per month as compared to $6.95 the last time I inquire. Still, they offer fast, reliable, web hosting even at an affordable price with secure servers, and 24/7 technical support. Their package includes, fREE domain for life, free instant setup, no hidden fees, unlimited space, transfers, domain hosting and so on. Also, they offer any time money back guarantee. It’s quite impressive, right? That is the reason, it’s one of my choices now.

tips in choosing the best towels

A towel that is soft to touch and absorbs well is readily regarded as favorite. But, let’s face it, it’s hard to pick one that can truly fulfill the promise of absorbency and durability while still staying fairly soft and fluffy.

So when shopping for a towel one must consider its weight, surface (length and density of loops), shape (corners should be perfectly square and upright) and feel when held against the skin. It shouldn’t feel scratchy. The only way to do this is to spread out and scrutinize every kind of towel available in the shop.

Ordinary towels are composed of cotton or cotton polyester mix woven on dobby loom with looped fibers on both sides. The top and bottom edges are sewn together and sometimes accented with simple embroidery and pattern. Superior ones are woven Egyptian and Supina cotton. These are pricier than ordinary towels because of their increased ability to sop in moisture. How it soaks water and how it fares after several washing should justify the price tag. There’s also microfiber, a blend of polyester and polymide, which is more absorbent, lighter and finer. If hygienic is priority, consider getting antimicrobial towels that eliminate odor and bacteria.

However, keep in mind that the fluffiest isn’t necessarily the best. Some manufacturers insidiously glaze their towels with special fabric conditioner meant to mislead customers. These turn scratchy after a few washings. To make sure you’re bringing home quality that you paid for, look for labels and cards that say the towel is made of 100 percent Cotton USA -issued by the export promotion department of the National Cotton Council of America or make sure it bears the Egyptian cotton trademark.

result of are you earth fire or air quiz

Since it is Saturday, I decided not to do anything other than post something on this blog. But, I don’t want to think for my topic. So, I just played the blogthings quiz and share something about me. And the result says I am an “air.” What could that mean? The explanation is below.

You Are Air

You are a quirky, flighty, and zany person. You change with the wind.
You are highly creative and often inspired. You love to be spontaneous and hate restrictions.

You have a yearning for travel and adventure. You want to have a wild and crazy life.
You actually feel a bit more balanced when there is structure and stability in your life, but you avoid it.

reasons why some diets fail

Even if I tried to eat less, I still feel I fail in my diet goals. Some people say I do reduce in size, but my pants will tell me the reality. So, I tried to look for answers to the reasons behind it.

Basically, there are many reasons why diets fail, including that they’re usually not conceived to offer results in the long run, but rather almost instantly. Like I said even if we met all conditions for a sustainable weight loss, we might still have problems with dropping pounds and that’s because, on some level, we’ve become accustomed to dealing with emotions through food, Shape magazine says.

Health experts and nutritionists agree: many of us use food to deal with the things happening in our life and we’re not necessarily talking here of movie-like scenarios. On some level or another, we all have moments when we deal with emotions with the help of food, even if only on rare occasions like, say, when we crave some chocolate to boost our mood. Well, this holds true to me as I always love to eat ice cream or chocolate cake when I feel happy.

Consequently, in order to lose weight, we need to make sure we’re not eating for the wrong reasons, so to speak. “We’ve all heard the phrase ‘emotional eating.’ It brings to mind the heartbroken woman working her way through an entire box of chocolates after being dumped, the homesick college student finishing off a large pizza, or the recently laid-off friend making her way to the bottom of a bag of sour cream and onion potato chips while trying to pay her bills. But most emotional eating takes place on a far more subtle scale – which may be the reason you can’t drop those last 5, 10, or 25 pounds,” Shape writes.

So, in order to make sure that the combination of diet / healthy eating and working out does not fail, we also need to learn to change our relationship with food, if it’s one that leads us to overindulging when we don’t know how to cope with certain emotions.

the only option I have

I said in one of my previous post, that my friend significantly sheds some weight. Well, I envy him for that. But, I don’t want to go through an illness just to drop some weight. I would rather use weight loss pills than think of that.

Actually, I already lose some weight, but it is not enough yet. I still want to lose more to get back a good looking body I used to have in my college days. I have difficulty getting that because my partner makes me eat a lot. Okay I shouldn’t blame anybody for letting go of myself.

Anyway, some of my colleagues said I should get a membership to a gym. But, I don’t have time for that. I have lots of things to do after my duty like helping my partner earn money because I get no salary from my training. So, the only way I can think of to lose some weight is through diet or diet pills. My option is only between the two.
