bored in Kish

Being in Kish alone is somewhat boring. I wanted to be with wifey, but she is miles away from me. She also can’t travel with me because of her work. Plus, she isn’t allowed to go out of the country because of some company policy. Even if we can’t be on the same room here in Kish, the thought of her being around is already enough – the thing is, she is in UAE.

So, in order to keep my boredom at bay is through going to the beach side and hanging out with new friends. I have few download videos in my laptop, but sadly I left it. I committed the same mistake by thinking I will not stay here for a long time. If I bring it with me I’m sure to have enough movies to keep me entertained. Oh well, I will just pray that my visa will be available the soonest possible time.

thinking of moving out

Before I left for Kish, wifey and I are considering the idea of moving out. Our current room is already too crowded for all of us. Plus, our movements are very limited due to the number of people. But, we can’t make an outright decision immediately because of some other factors. There are so many things to consider especially the financial aspect. However, before we can make a decision, two of our roommates left. They had some conflicts with the other people before and the rift is getting big.

Now, the room is a cozier as compared before. Wifey suggests purchasing new adult bunk beds queen size. We have been squeezing each other in one small bed for almost two months. We have little choice because the scarcity of space. Now, buying a bigger bed is somewhat doable now that there are only five of us. But, it has to wait until I get back to the country. Good thing I already have ideas in mind.

thinking what to give myself

I’ve been thinking what to give myself for my birthday this February. I haven’t bought anything for myself for the last two years for this occasion. I’m actually fine, but this time I want to get something. I even want to hold a party. I’m not sure where this motivation is coming from, but I really feel like doing it.

Anyway, I’m thinking of getting myself a rubber necklace. It’s one of the things I want to buy myself before, but unable to do it. This time, I won’t let the opportunity go. But, when I scroll down the page I saw rubber necklaces for ladies and feel like buying one for wifey. Just as always, I might end up buying this thing not for myself, but for her. Well, let’s see about that.

Hollywood Colin Farrell is no longer the bad boy who used to keep on its toes, hanging in utter fascination. A responsible father now and a more low-key celebrity, the actor offered kids at a Dublin hospital the best Christmas present ever. When most children are at home tucked in bed in their pajamas, waiting for Santa Claus to slide down the chimney, others less fortunate can only dream of such a thing.

It’s for them that Colin tried to make a difference. While in Dublin, the actor stopped by Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital for an unannounced visit. Not only did he not tell anyone he was coming, but he also made sure there was no press to upset the kids and, more importantly, came bearing gifts.

“The Hollywood star, who was born and bred in the city, dropped in on the hospital on Christmas Day, bringing hundreds of presents for the sick children with him. His unannounced visit surprised staff and patients alike, and according to reports, even his publicist was unaware he would be there. He cuddled the kids and chatted away to them as he spent some time in the hospital spreading some Christmas cheer to them,” says the same publication.

Ecstatic parents took to Twitter and social networks to praise the actor. They were clearly most impressed by the fact that he didn’t turn the visit into a massive PR opportunity, as some other celebrities are known for doing whenever they have a new project coming out. Colin also brought presents for the entire hospital staff, others said. “Farrell is a real genuine guy alright,” they all agreed.

There are only few more days before Christmas, yet we weren’t able to shop for our presents. Wifey became busy with her new job and has little time to shop. We are aware that a day more delaying our shopping will put us in trouble. There are already a great number of people shopping at any malls. For sure, as time nears the Christmas day the number will increase.

Another problem is that I’m still undecided what to give to my aunt’s family. They have been very helpful ever since I landed in this country. Wifey said to consider giving silver bullion bars, which is a great idea. I’m aware that gold as well as silver is a great investment product to diversify portfolio. Fortunately, I can buy this stuff online and no longer need to shed some sweat.

I love nature adventure

It is really thrilling to go to nature. Hiking and mountain climbing are just few of my loved outdoor activities during my college days. I also love to go bird watching, viewing landscape and wildlife with my friend who owns a telescope. He is a fortunate child who can afford to buy gadgets like that using his allowance, he even have kelty backpack and tent. I’m also lucky as I’m considered his close friend who can go with him to do those things.

I really feel good whenever I reminisce those days. But, everything changes now that both of us become too busy with our life. We seldom see each other, we hardly talk or text. Still, I’m enthusiastic to do those things again. But, this time it would be with my special someone, wifey. It’s better to bring her along to avoid any inconveniences.

Anyway, I’ll just have to invest in good quality scopes, cameras and other gadgets for my future outdoor adventure. For now, I will focus on earning money for me to buy those gadgets.

indeed we are excited

Wifey and I are indeed excited the first day we arrived in Kish, Iran. Everyone said it’s a beautiful island although life is difficult because of the strict law. But, once the law is followed there will be no problem. Well, we have no problem abiding the law. So, the first day we decided to tour the island together with other people who just arrived.

Gladly, we took the tour because we really enjoyed taking pictures and visiting places. It’s indeed an experience worth remembering. However, we weren’t able to do camel riding and horseback riding even though it’s safe. I can say that it’s safe because the camel is equipped with the right equipment and accessories. Same goes to with the horses as each one of them are completed dresses with english horse tack. However, we don’t have much time to enjoy such. The driver only allotted 20 minutes in that area. But, if we are given ample amount I would really give it a try. Well, there’s always a next time or another place to try camel riding and horseback riding.

great opportunity

Not long ago, I really beg wifey to spare money for a hard drive. I’m aware that we are in a tight budget, but I’m encouraged to dive into purchasing such because of the cheap external hard drives I found. It would be a waste to let go of such opportunity. One way or the other I will purchase a hard drive because I already planned for it. Buying it that time will give me a big savings that I can use on other things.

Luckily, she gave in and let me have my most awaited hard drive. But, she had some conditions like she will get the same amount of money I spend, which I find reasonable although she is not too assertive to get that. It’s more like a joke, which is half meant. But, it’s not a problem for me as long as I’m already earning, which will soon happen.

feel bad for my brother

I really feel bad for my brother who is currently drowned in debt. He wasn’t able to manage his finances well that lead him to his situation. I’m pretty sure he wrongfully assesses the needs versus the wants. Even if he has good salary package, he still end up carrying large amount of debt from different financial institutions and people. This is putting a great stress to him.

My advice for him is to seek help from the professionals. He has three options including debt counseling, debt management and debt settlement. Knowing the difference of the three is an important step in determining how he can handle his debt situation. He needs to get out of it or his problem will snowball.

For me, having debt isn’t entirely a bad thing because it a good gauge on how well a person handles his finances. But, having too much of it is a different story. Its money bored so it’s money to be paid. It doesn’t only ruin credit score; it can ruin life as a whole.
